Yuqing Tang

Yuqing is a research scientist at Facebook AI with LATTE (Language and Translation Technology) working on multi-lingual machine translation and NLP topics in general. Previously, he was a member of Microsoft CNTK team working on deep learning technology. Before joining Microsoft, he was at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University first in 2012 as a postdoctoral fellow and later in 2015 as a project scientist. He has published more than 40 technical papers in Artificial Intelligence. Yuqing has been working on a broad range of AI topics across deep learning, NLP, probabilistic graphical models, probabilistic symbolic reasoning (e.g. probabilistic argumentation-based reasoning), probabilistic multi-agent planning, and multi-agent dialogues, human-robot interaction, trust modeling in social networks, agent-based simulation and so on.

Low-Resource Corpus Filtering using Multilingual Sentence Embeddings

In this paper, we describe our submission to the WMT19 low-resource parallel corpus filtering shared task. Our main approach is based on the LASER toolkit (Language-Agnostic SEntence Representations), which uses an encoder-decoder architecture…
